I have the old-school Cat clock-face analog-looking displays.

Has anyone with an older boat like mine upgraded to one of the digital displays?

I am espcially interested in hearing from anyone with the new mini-displays.

I was told by Cat that my plants should push most of the data to these displays. I'd love to see GPH, load, temp, and turbo pressure all on the same screen.

Thoughts?

I'd do it, if I could...but my 3208's are too old.

It's a great way to free up space for other electronics at the helm by getting rid of all the gauges.

Keep us posted if you go for it...

I already have that display, so can't help there, but after seeing the link, I want the color ones. Bob

The color ones are very sweet, but they retail for $3,500 apiece. The guy I talked to at Cat said that they were capable of monitoring multiple engines so I needed only one of them.

I asked him if he was a boat owner, and he said no and asked why do you ask?

I told him that one screen for two engines just won't do, no matter how pretty they are.

interesting....
i have 3176's in a 2000 480db, and i just added exhaust temp pyros and turbo gauges, mounted in bilge, and remotely monitored via raymarine cameras to my helm display.
i would like to stay in loop on this one, if anyone wants to talk bout my experience, pm me as well. bottom line, not as easy as it looks/should be.....
