Cat 3208 Turbo Source

A friend of mine needs to source two turbochargers for his Cat 3208. Local Cat dealer says they are no longer available.

I remember past threads where someone mentioned the OEM manufacturer for the turbos and that they could be sourced from other suppliers.

Anyone have an idea where to look?

i have just had both of mine rebuilt completely. total cost was 2,000Euros. The company did indicate they could still buy a new one at around 3,500 euros each. all parts were available to repair them though. they both work now perfectly.
However, I am located in Cyprus in the Med Sea, but I believe the parts came from Spain or NL

Search around for Borg Warner turbos or Garrett/Honeywell. They are the two big guys for Cat.
