Cat 3126 Oil

Hi Guys

new to this forum. Recently brought a 36 Topaz with cat 3126, 385hp engines from USA to Australia.

I know now the oil question has been done to death all over the internet but I was wondering if I used the Australian made Penrite SAE30 mono oil with a rating of CF2 ( as opposed to CF4 recommended) would be ok for these engines. CAT oil is quite expensive here.

Can you get Shell Rotella T straight grade there? It's what I use and has been recommended by the experts here.

There's a couple of threads current on this issue. I think Frank Webster posted a link to a Cat reference you could use to see if that oil works...
