I'm looking for the correct oil pressure and coolant temp senders. These would be the ones that are connected to the dash gauges. I'm not sure if these were supplied by CAT or Sea Ray. Ive searched both manuals, not much info. The oil pressure sender is on the oil gallery, and the coolant on the thermostat housing, both single wire.

I'm thinking these were standard Sierra 100 psi and 240 deg senders?

Want a set for bench testing and getting this data on the NEMA 2000 network.

Here's what I had in my 410's spares list:
Ours were/are single station...
CAT Oil Pressure senders: 7E4275 for single station and 7E4276 for dual station.

I see those in the CAT parts catalog. My issue is what is installed on the boat differ from what is shown online. What is installed are both single electrical contacts...these seem to be floating gound type.

This is what it looks like in the boat...

Hmmmmmm. To be honest, I don't really think it matters too much. I'm prototyping up a N2K guage setup.

Don't spent the money on Cat senders. Caterpillar didn't supply them. They are probably a Teleflex varient because they supplied the gauge package. The problem is that the SR parts list isn't usually correct either.

If I were you, Dave, I would call:

Treasure Island was the Sea Ray selling dealer for yachts and sport yachts from the mid-80's to 2010 when the recession hit the boat business. This is a family owned business and the family decided they could no longer finance the inventory levels Brunswick was requiring. They leased the sales office and showroom to Marine Max but retained the marina, dry stack storage, service department, shop, parts, ships store and boat yard. They have been and still are one of the top Sea Ray servicing dealers in the US with 9-10 factory trained and certified mechanics, a glass shop, travel lift and boat yard on the premises. John is the parts manager, has been in marine parts all his working life, has been at Treasure Island about 20 years is one of the best parts people in the industry, is a genuinely nice guy, is a friend, and has agreed to work with CSR members sourcing parts. Depending on his vendor, he can sometimes have your order drop shipped to you, other times (like Sea Ray he has the part shipped to the marina and then ships or hold it for your pick up depending upon size. Their season is winding down so he should have lots of time to help you.....sometimes in mid season he is very busy but is very good about returning calls. Tell him I referred you rto him....it won't help you on cost but he knows the people I send him are serious boaters, knowledgeable and are not time wasters.

Give John a try.........and keep his contact info.

Thanks Frank.

I have his info from another project. I appreciate the info and his offer to help. In this case, I think this is simple enough I don't want to consume his time on something I can (and should) do the leg work on.

In this particular case, I was hoping to identify what senders are on my engines ( I looked last time out), but any identifying info was painted over/inaccessible. It just comes down to having a correct file on my computer so I'm just going to download all of them, and find the correct one at the boat by trial and error. I have a pretty good idea of what I need, so I don't think I'll be too far off. Just hate to waste time at the boat.
