Just ordered all new hoses, clamps, orings, temp regs, radiator caps etc to re do everything on the sea water side of the cooling system. What's the best way to clean the fuel coolers, heat exchangers and transmission oil coolers? I was thinking that soaking them in a cleaning product and then using a pressure cleaner should remove any build up?

Any tips?

Thanks!

Take them to a radiator shop and have the, boiled out. You can check with the local CAT dealer or CAT mechanic to see who does their work. Even if you know a heavy equipment company wrench they can direct you. Otherwise call some radiator shops and ask if they do this work. Also, make sure they remember to paint them white when complete. I picked mine up and they were yellow!

Aussie, find a marine engineering facility that does this type of work to have heat exchanger cores cleaned. They have a special process including sonic treatment. It is not expensive but it is thorough. Dont forget the generator.
