Everything has been fine until I replaced the impeller on the port side of my 420AC. For those of you not aware, there is next to no room to change that impeller and I was on top of, around and all over that motor in order to get the new impeller in. The white smoke began after that project. Maybe I accidently richened the motor?, because the white smoke is definitely a fuel issue, I can see the fuel rainbow left in the water directly under the exhaust outlet.
locally, techs are saying its an injector issue, and may well be, but what an uncanny coinsidence. I'd like to try to resolve it myself first before I pay a CAT tech 140./hr to travel here and diagnose the problem......thoughts?
