What is the area like around Caseville? Looking for nice anchoring and swimming areas. I'm from Lake St Clair and I like the nice places to go and anchor and swim, relax. I'll be up there the first week of July. Thanks for the help.

Caseville has a great harbor and harbor master. The swimming and park area is very clean. The harbor docking is right in town and the swimming area is a short walk to the town. Go to the Caseville internet site. I have a cottage just south of Caseville in Bay Port. Make sure you have your charts with you because there are some shallow spots in the Bay.

Yes you need to take your Charts with you, Caseville has some very seriuos shallows and Is Rocky on the inlet.... just take it easy and well ask around as you go for people that know their way.....Do you trailer your boat at all, it would be so much cheaper for you to trailer it up there......
And what's this about a New Born...? http://boatingontheweb.com/port.asp?id=220

Yes, I have a new born, 2 weeks old and he will be boating come this summer. I figured by having a kid it will help convice the wife we need to step to a 260 or 280. More room for the kids...worth a shot. Yes, I'm trailering the boat up there. Sounds like I'll have to get a chart of the Bay. I have it in my Garmin, but I'll need to study the chart up close. Thanks for the input.

Ah hell go for the 280 still trailerable in comfort, with a reasonable truck.. We trailer the 320as you can see, but it takes nerve and a truckdriver skill, My mom was a truck driver...Long hauler too...
Anyways congrats on thenew baby....

Be very careful if you are in the sand point area! I was running about 1/4 mile off shore just taking it easy. As we approached sand point, I saw what appeared to be sea gulls. Sure as s#!t they were. Lake level was so far down that sand point is now sand dune! The people how build their houses on sand point are now way far from the water. Also, wild fowl bay is now a sand box!

Just my two cents....
