Case for Throttle/ gearshift case removal

Wondering how bad it is to remove the case where my gearshift lever is looks like it's held in by four screws and then need to cut through the clauck to take off . Just need to get back there to pull cable up to the helm.

In most cases you remove the handle first, then the mounting screws/bolts
posting some pics is a good idea

Was able to move far enough to get the wire thru
