Carter’s Poopy Powder Recharge Day

This is a tremendous savings. Thanks for posting. I swear by the stuff. When we got the boat the odor was annoying, specially during the winter layup. Have been using noflex religiously and zero odor. Have even started using this at home in the basement bathroom which is a pump.
I can't wait to take possession of the Carver 506. The owner was gracious to invite my wife and I to spend the weekend on the boat so we took him up on it. He has only used the blue RV chemicals and there is a more than faint odor in both cabins with the en-suite heads. First order of business will be to completely clean the holding tanks and get the No-fles digester regimen going. We were going to spend two nights on the boat but after the first night I just felt awkward staying o a boat that was not ours yet. Kinda like sleeping with a club members wife. (not that I would really know) The 506 has three heads and two holding tanks with electric flush toilets as well as two ten gallon sumps so with that much plumbing and tankage to maintain I think I will be doing the DIY mix after I burn through the last order I just got of the digester and cleaner. I bought $100 worth to save the shipping but even that wont last long.
Carpe Diem

Interesting - I would have thought there would be a yeast and oxygenator of some sort also in the concoction to keep the bugs going strong.

Well I’m willing to give this new found formula a go. I have used it religiously with great results but it’s expensive for sure

Poopy Powder is quite fitting or perhaps "Vapoorizer":D

Not to speak for @ocgrant but @Blueone posted on the 1st page 2 to 1, take a look at his pic that was posted, two bags on the right and one on the left.

Great info, I just bought a years supply from noflex, will buy this next winter. Guessing mix this (2:1) in a 5 gallon bucket all at once and as I need to refill the small containers I will.

what I spent $80 dollars for will now do at least 5 years worth with this info.

thank you!

Sell it to your dock neighbors at half the price of Noflex and you'll have your money back in no time.

I just peaked on Amazon and I can get 5lbs of the one and 10lbs of the other chemical shipped to house for $45. Considering 1 jar is like 30 for 1 lb and I’m Going to now have 15lbs, I’d say it’s worth it

I made up a batch! I don't think it dissolves as fast as the no flex. Thoughts?

The no flex mixed with water seems gritty to me. i have mixed it with warm water, cold water, let it sit for a week in water.... i don't really see it dissolve fully. maybe i don't do something correctly....

I see what you mean. The granular were a bit different size. I just did the two to 1 ratio in smaller pint jars so it would be easier to balance

one part Sodium Carbonate, two parts Sodium Percarbonate
I know this is an old post but I have a new to me boat to "clean" and have been reviewing the discussions on the home mixed product. Do you mix it in water or dump the 2/1 mix in the toilet/tank dry like Noflex?
Thanks.
