carb and carb kti #

I have a 1996 175 five series w/ a 3.0LX and the carb I.D. tag is missing. What is the carb and kit # ?. My engine serieal # is F553706. It only has one jet mixture screw so I believe it's a mercarb I have tried getting help from Merc and they keep giving me 4 different possibilities 3310-805924, 3310-805924-A1, 3310-806080 OR 3310-806082. I have heard of universal kits but I ahve also heard of their poor qulity any help from someone @Sea Ray wpould be great.:huh:

I am not with Sea Ray but saw this was a older post. Most carbs have a number stamped into the carb body. If it is painted it is hard to see. Hope this helps.

but I have went over this thing like a jenny craig drop out on a chicken bone and to no avail got the mfg date code and thats it going with the universal kit from aftermarket marine .com:smt021
