Cape Coral Boat/Fishing Charter and VA Hospital

My father and his wife are renting a home for the winter on one of the CC canals (near Chiquita & Mohawk) ... a couple questions:

1) any experience/ recommendations on fishing charters / boat rentals in the area? We will also be coming in for a week and would love to do a grandfather/ father / son boating / fishing day.

2) my dad gets his healthcare through the VA. His doctor in Michigan recommends he gets both Covid shots through the VA in Florida instead of the first dose at the VA in Michigan and second dose at the VA in Florida. He is 88 years old so definitely in the higher tier. Does anybody have experience with the local VA facilities or tried to sign up for the vaccine through it?

I just heard that all 32 Publix's in Lee County now have the vaccine. I haven't tried to sign up yet...

Hopefully the VA can hook you up on the vaccine. It's difficult to get through on the county and publix appointment lines and websites. I tried and spent many frustrating hours before finally getting an appointment last week at a publix, but persistence pays off.
You could try this guy on the fishing, He's an acquaintance, I have no experience fishing with him, but I know people who have. Captain Larry catches fish!
