Can you splice anchor chain via proper welding?

This is definitely possible because welding can fix any metal parts even at the anchor. When I first started to learn more about it I realized that on weldingnearyou.com I can find the information I need. This is what happened because these courses are designed just for people like me, people who are curious to become a welder. I've heard, by the way, that these guys make good money, so I want to try it. I am sure that this will be useful to you because your anchor can be saved just by this method

Of course you can. Hope you did it. My ather taught me that

I didn't get it welded. I actually did nothing until the next summer and then used a monkey link to join the segments, and it went through the windlass without a problem, pretty much exactly once, too, as it's pretty rare that I ever put out more than about 80' of chain and the 35' segment is at the end of a 125' segment.
