Can strataglass be replaced w/ plexiglass and windshield wiper?

I was told by a friend that I could replace the center forward strataglass on my flybridge with plexiglass and a windshield wiper. Possible? If so, do you have any resources I could check out? I sure would love to be able to see at least a foot in front of me when it rains

While this sounds hokey, I have seen it done. The installation is on a 50' sportfish that frequents my marina as a transient - the units appear to be self containned "modules" that "splice in" to the surrounding enclosure - I do not know what material they are, but they are ridged and obviously scratch resistant as there are no marks from the wipers...

I've seen some 480's with this on the center panel,I have EZ2CY and it's awesome.

I may have this item for sale soon. PM me if interested. It also has a washer feature similar to your car and uses wiper fluid. Great for saltwater applictions.
