I just went down to have a look at my dock area, and they havent finished putting everthing in but it looks like I wont have a electric receptical to fit my shore power cord.
Now I seen 2 spots where they have the actual shore power outlet with the big 3 blades,,but my spot just has a standard grounded plug.
I did a quick google and found this,is this what I would need?

Would I run a extention cord from the outlet,to this 1 piece adapter then this piece to my heavy shore power cord then to my boat? Or do I need something else?

That's about it-They make pig tails /adapters to hook up a 30 A cord to a standard plug...ebay is your friend...

30 amp is what you need.....don't use an extension cord as wire size my not be large enough. Just the adapter and you shore power cord.

Just know that you won't be able to pull a full load on that power cord, as it won't be on a 30A circuit. It will be 15A or at most 20A.

Can you ask the marina to provide your slip with the proper outlet / capacity? They may just not know you need a 30A outlet.

I only have a 20amp service you have to watch what you run . :smt021

When I'm away from the slip and use the genny I have one of these.
