Can get a '76 srv 300 for $3000 Is it worth it?

I have a 76 300SRV Sport Bridge. I've had it for 14 years and I think I'll have it for my Viking Funeral. It's a tank. Repowered with worked up 88 model Merc 260's including newer style Vortec heads and proper Vortec intakes. They put out aroud 325 hp now. replaced the original single cylinder Onan 2.5 with a Westerbeke 4.5. Imroned hullsides to hide the original piss yellow, and I've got a hot little sportfisher that will run 37 knots and +1 mpg at a 22 knot cruise. But I've got $$$ in her.

I have found an unlimited amount of enjoyment from my 1978. I planned to strip it and completely refit it when I bought it. When you are done you have the widest 30’ boat Sea Ray ever built. New ones are a different kind of boating, and only 9 ½ feet wide, big difference in the boat. It really depends on what you like and want….
