I stumbled across the SRO site about the time I traded my 410 EC on a new Tiara (July,'05). Nontheless I visited that site regularly until it disappeared. Apparently, this is where most of you folks have ended up. I've been looking for a no nonsense site for quite awhile. I'm a 3 digit RO on another boating site but things have been going down hill there for a while. I even considered joining the BOC but since I owned several Sea Rays this seems like a better match. I started years ago with a Seville. In the late '80's we bought a 280 which we upgraded to a '90 330. In 1997 we bought a 400 EC and traded that for a 410 EC in late 2001. Then came the Tiara. We have a 40 foot covered slip in Seattle (Lake Union) which I'm hesitant to give up. Besides, my wife refuses to wash anything bigger so it's likely we'll stop at 43 feet. In any event I enjoyed the thread on racors (my Tiara is my first diesel boat) and hopefully I might contribute something worthwhile from time to time.

Welcome Dan you are more than welcome to join us. I would say you can be our token Tiara owner but we already have SBW1. Again welcome to the site you will find alot of the same guys from SRO plus some really nice new guys. Again welcome to CSR!!!

I think we should make him run around the block naked and drink a fifth of gin or something.... Tatoo "My Mother is a Sea Ray" on his butt... then he can join...

Welcome to the board.

We appreciate any knowledge you can add to the board. I look forward to your posts.

Very well said Wesley.

I am not an attorney (I just play one on TV  ) but I think including former Searay owners arguably can provide perhaps a more unbiased view – even if they did “jump shipâ€.

Welcome aboard.

Dan.........We are more than happy to have you as a member. I am sure you will be able to contribute to the forum given your ownership of a long line of Sea Rays. Another member, SBW1, has a bio similar to yours in terms of the boats he has owned including his present Tiara.

One thing I like about this board is even though we may discuss other brands, there is no "brand bashing" that goes on here. Many folks on this board have owned other brands of boats in the past and we can all learn from those experiences.

So please participate as much as you want and welcome to the board!

Do you have any preference as to "which side" you would like that Tatoo Gary talked about....

But he can't be taught the secret hand shake or told where the New Jersey "secret spot" is.....

I own a Sea Ray, and I'm not sure I even want to know where a "secret spot" in New Jersey is....

Boy, I sure like those Tiara's.

I think that would be a great next boat.

Thanks for all your kind comments.

Gary-You really don't want to see me run around the block naked, I promise.

jrirvine1-How did you know I was an attorney?

osd9-No tats even though riding Harleys is another passion of mine. I have Volvo D 6's 370 hp with, dare I say it in the land of Zeus, IPS.

gredmere-no dues, not even at Boater Ed despite my 3 digit RO number.

HIFI- in my opinion you own a boat with some of the nicest lines ever built by Sea Ray. Mine, unfortunately, leaked like a sieve into the salon floor storage. I cut inspection holes into the floor of the storage compartment to vacuum water from from the foam. I never could track that leak and water where it doesn't belong drives me absolutely nuts. I finally traded the boat for our 410EC.

Thanks again for the welcome.
Dan

Dan,

The dues were a joke, there are no dues here even though I can't believe Jim won't take a small contribution to support the board. :smt017
