I haven't received the boat yet so I can't try this out for myself.

How big is the Salon berth when you pull the couch out? Do you think that an average sized male (5'11/180) and petit female would be able to sleep comfortably on it?

Yes, but they would have to like each other a lot because it would be very cozy. This berth pulls out about 16".

Maybe a pic of said female would help with answer?

5'11" is not average. It is overweight.

I'm 6'2 so I certainly don't think 5'11" is overheight but not exactly 'overweight' either

Height: 5'11"
Small Frame: 146-157
Medium Frame: 154-166
Large Frame: 161-184

Calculating Your Frame Size

Following is the method the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company used to calculate frame size:

Extend your arm in front of your body bending your elbow at a ninety degree angle to your body so that your forearm is parallel to your body.
Keep your fingers straight and turn the inside of your wrist towards your body.
Place your thumb and index finger on the two prominent bones on either side of your elbow, then measure the distance between the bones with a tape measure or calipers.
Compare to the chart below. The chart lists elbow measurements for a medium frame - if your elbow measurement for that particular height is less than the number of inches listed, you are a small frame - if your elbow measurement for that particular height is more than the number of inches listed, your are a large frame.

5'8" - 5'11": 2-3/4" to 3"

for what it's worth. BTW, that's for men. Different data for women.

I'm all of 5'5" and would not really want to sleep side by side with anyone on my salon couch even when pulled out.

If 5'll" is tall, this must be the "normal" couple who could sleep comfortably in that salon berth...

Can't believe no one has suggested the tried and true "vertical" sleeping arrangement, where there is plenty of room on a salon pull out. OR, the "you sleep in the cockpit" variation of trying the vertical arrangement.

If the weather cooperates here in Texas I may just put up the cockpit canvas and turn on the AC out there. The back U-shaped seating looks like it would be pretty comfortable.
