camping in SC?

That sounds like exit 87 off I-95, Richmond Hill, there should have been a TA truckstop there if it was, the KOA is just passed the TA. I could have stopped by on my way home, I can go home on the road you were on or go to the next exit 95. Its a small world, you never know who is nearby. You could have gone North on 17/25 to the Ogeechee River and put at boat in there and got in some fishing, you crossed the river on 95 before you got to the KOA.

Not much to see in Elizabeth City NC. Will be waving at all you Virginian's in a couple of hours.

I'm helping the captain of the ferry boat navigate to cape may with my iPhone and inavx software.

an assortment of Nicaraguan cigars. mmmmm

I also found my new mecca of outdoors stuff, Bass Pro Shop. Holy Moly why didn't anyone ever tell me about that place? We don't have them around these parts. I walked in and I didn't even know where to start looking. If they had one of those near me, I'd be in there pretty much once a week.

The moment I crossed into VA, I saw Bear crossing signs. I've never seen one of those before. Ate a softshell crab sandwich in the middle of the Chesapeake.

Ocean City MD is even crazier than Myrtle Beach.

We can't tell all our secrets, you would never go home.:smt043:lol:

You have BPS in Auburn (Finger Lakes), one in Buffalo, Foxborough Ma, Baltimore Md, and Harrisburg Pa, I know none of them are real close to you but they might be in your travel area. We gotta keep you up there.

I'd give up all of the bass pro shops in the south for just one Cabela's retail store within 3 hrs of me. Thats the outdoorsmans wal-mart. You have one up in east hartford, ct...... bastard.

The closest Cabela's to me is 708 miles away, I have BPS within 20 minutes of work or home.

Is the one in CT open now? I thought it was a coming soon...

According to the website Cabela's is planning to build a mega-store in East Rutherford, N.J. and the one in Ct has a store webpage.

AFAIK, its open now. I went to the Hamburg Pa store a few months ago, love that place. I don't know why they avoid the south east though. I even tried getting them to come down here, have a direct interstate access property in the Raleigh /Cary area with well over 1/2 million people within 30 minutes, no response at all.
