I have a 1986 searay weekender that has a factory fiberglass radar ark. When we bought the bought the owner also had a complete camper enclosure for the boat. I'm in the process of making all new canvas up.Current setup is the bimini tops fit under the radar ark. Has anyone ever attached the bimini top to the bottom of the radar ark? With the current setup i can't use the lights that are in the radar ark when the top is up. Plus with the ark there it a pain in the butt to remove the bimini top and roll it onto the bimini frame.

Formula Boats use to have there tops run under the arch and they would put a round piece of eisenglass under the light locations to allow the light through.

Sorry, but if I don't correct you someone else will, it is radar "arch" not ark....

Does your arch have a raised "lip" both fore and aft, so that water runs off the sides?
Mine does, and both the helm canvas, and the aft canvases ( I have a camper enclosure, mooring cover, and a bimini) snap to the top of the arch. This keeps it watertight (well, except for the canvas leaking :)
