Calling all 360 DA owners

Great work on the upgrades. I mounted my salon tv on a swing arm that allows the tv to pivot for better viewing angles, while still allowing use of the space behind for storage (I've got the satellite receiver and PVR hard drive in there now).

And finally the LED lights.....

I also had it on a swivel, but it kept swinging into the cabin in rough seas. So I decided to fix mount it to prevent damage, or someone getting hit in the face.

I've managed to deal with the rough seas so far with some good velcro straps. So far, so good...

Is that rope lighting up top? Was that original or aftermarket? How does it look at night? Where is the switch? Cool...

No, not rope lighting, but an enclosed LED strip that can be fixed to one color or rotate through a color palate. Illuminates the entire cabin in one of 20 diferent colors! Sold as a pack of five from Costco for $19.99. Comes with mounting tape, mounts and control unit. Can be plugged in or wired for 12 volt. I mounted the switch right next to the galley light switch, and use the 12V receptacle inside the accordian storage for power. Has a feature that makes the lights dance to music. Never used.....LOL!

Hope you guys don't mind me posting I have a 270 Sundancer and headed to a 410EC soon. But I read all the post because the info and enthusiasm is great.

I like your lites. Are they hard wired in? If not was it very difficult to do?
Great Pics.
Thanks,

They are hard wired. Was one of the easiest jobs I've done! Simply clip the wires from the existing fixtures, and crimp the wires from the new fixture in it's place. I suggest shrink wrapping the wires for added protection. Literally took me half an hour to install five fixtures!

Yes, that includes all the new stainless work aft of the arch, except for the two adjustable support arms, which they repositioned to slant rearward, and attached them to the new main frame.
The framing forward of the arch will be the original.

Thanks My3sons great Pics can't wait to see the final work. I was thinking of 24 farther then original top, and was hoping to keep cantilevered, I will keep you posted after estimate.

Continued..

8. Purchased Tri LED from BOE Marine(APL-247L-SDI-11)APERION SDI TRI-COLOR LIGHTS. These lights are a direct replacement for our existing fixtures. I purchased 2 FLUSH mount w/white bezel for the arch, and 3 SCREW mount units w/chrome bezel for the floor. Simply removed the OEM units, cut the wires and crimped new unit wires and shrink wrapped for add protection. The arch units required some widening, again with the dremel and sand bit! Make sure to cover to ease cleanup. Units work with existing switches. You simply turn on, then off and back on to switch colors from red, to white to blue! Bathes the cockpit in color! One of the best mods I've done! Get nothing but compliments and requests for these fixtures! Pics to follow.....

Chaulk up another compliment....that's pretty cool

They got the tops on today, They look good. I'm pleased with the way the aft shade looks. They fitted all the sides, and glass, and tomorrow is another sewing day to make them all up... should be done Friday, I hope...I can't get a good clean shot at the dock, there's always something in the backround...if you can "block out" the black canvas from the sedan bridge in the back, you can get the picture :smt001

No...I'm not going tu tone  there may be rain tomorrow, so she put the old bimini back up so that the glass could be put up for some protection in case the rain gets heavy.
Hopfully in the next photos we see, it will be finished.
Take care

Looks good! Nice and taught!

PS.-why is there always an old Carver sedan bridge in everyone's pictures? There must be millions of those things! LOL!

Looks great My3sons, are the longer downpipes just off for the installation? The 2 tone does not look bad? well maybe not :)

The rear supports are removeable with the pull of a spring loaded pin, I can take them out if I want, or leave them in.
I will have them in when not around the boat, because high wind against the rear curtain pulls down on the top, and eventually the top frame will bend down, causing the canvas to be loose and "baggy". That is what happened on the original aft curtain, and that was nowhere near as vertical as this new one. These supports should prevent that, hopefully. The rear supports are positioned so that they can't be seen from the outside, and can not come in contact with the glass, not that that is a big deal, but when making it up from scratch, it might as well be that way.
The Canvas work is mostly complete, she just has to make the dash cover, which is no hurry. Here's the final look:

And the best look of all....a happy admiral in her new "sun room"
