Calling all 360 DA owners

Found a 19" on Amazon. Should fit just rite. Suppose to be delivered tomorrow. Will let you know how I make out.
Fit like glove. Was also able to remove some excess wires and made it look nice and clean. Birthday present for my wife, so extra points for me!! Have pics, but i don't have a nine year old available to help me figure out how to attract them. Outta my pay grade for sure!!!

DB,

I was down at the boat today and took these pics. This is a 24 Vizio from Target with a simple bracket which i think was from Target as well. I attached pics of the bracket from both sides and also from the top. It fits on an angle without blocking the cabinet but does shift a little underway so I need to work on a way to lock it in place this year. You can see that the drawer still still pulls out for storage.

Let me know if you have any questions.
I actually made a slide-out for the galley tv. My DVD player and Apple TV store below the TV (24"). We then store our Kuerig(sp?) in a dedicated slot on the slider. Sorry, no pics. I can get some the next time I go out (after Easter). Used 2 drawer slides and a catch. Have been thru some pretty rough water and the slide never moved.
For the Master TV, I put in a flat board on two hinges on the top. Mounted the TV to the board and cut a notch for Apple TV. When i need to get behind the TV, I push in on the magnetic catches on the bottom, and flip the TV up.

Maintenance question....looking to change transmission fluid (DIY), and i'm not sure of the process. Anyone with experience on this, willing to share steps/tip? Hurth V-drive, 2002. TIA.

I have a 02 360 and it’s been a great boat over the last 5 years. However, my center vent window is leaking pretty good when it starts to rain. Has anyone replaced the seal? If so, how and where did you get the material? appreciate the help!

I have a factory vent gasket from a 06-390 , but here’s the measurements and see if their the same as yours

I replaced the vent window gasket on my 2002 360 in August 2023. I did a short write up on the "SeaRay 360 Sundancer Owners" Facebook group page. Here are the pertinent details:

You need about 6' total of WS80 windshield gasket....I ordered 8' so that I would have 2' extra just in case. This gasket is available on flounder pounder ( fpmarine.com ).

Remove the two horizontal screws that hold the 'actuator arm' to the glass. Then you can rotate the glass window up and completely out of the way.

Remove existing gasket (mine came off easily enough) and then I scraped off the old caulking, vacuumed with shop vac, and cleaned everything with mineral spirits (I assume rubbing alcohol or acetone would also work OK). You can get plastic razor blades on Amazon which are good for a project like this where you don't want to scratch anything.

The existing gasket had shrunk a lot versus the 'nominal size' of the opening - so don't use the old gasket to size the new gasket - lay the new gasket in there and cut it slightly long, then you can trim that new piece as necessary to get a snug fit.

Once I fit up all the pieces and was happy with the approx. 45 degree corner joints mating up, I adhered the gasket into the frame with a light coat of clear E6000 adhesive (this is what was what flounder pounder recommended to use). The gasket itself did not really 'grip' and want to stay in there on its own - so you will need to use adhesive to attach it. I got the clear E6000 from Home Depot (it came in a small tube, you don't need much at all, and it was only maybe $5). I put the adhesive on and then pushed in the gasket. I used blue painters tape (see picture0 to hold the gasket in place while the adhesive set up. I waited a few hours and then carefully pulled the painters tape off, reattached the actuator arm, and then I closed the window maybe 80-90% and let the adhesive fully cure overnight.

I originally thought (hoped?) that the gasket would fully seal based on being compressed by the window - but the next time it rained I had leaks in the 45 degree corners. I bought a small squeeze tube of clear 100% silicone and put a small bead of that in all the 45 degree corner joints. I let the silicone set up & cure with the window open for 24 hours, and the window gasket was 100% leak tight after I sealed the gasket joints.

I have not done this myself on my boat, but I helped a friend do this on his newer sea ray 370 Sundancer & took notes for when I do this on my 2002 360 Sundancer (I have ZF Hurth model HSW630V1 transmissions). It is a pretty straightforward / simple DIY project.

I believe you need 4-5 quarts per transmission You can clean the filters / strainers by soaking in mineral spirits, or order new ones - the new ones should be part # 3312199031.

If you decide to clean and re use the filters though, i guess you need a plan if you want to replace the associated o-rings, or maybe there’s a separate kit for that, I have not looked...

Once you remove the filters from the transmissions, you can suck almost all the oil out from above with an oil change pump (just put the tube all the way into the bottom). There is a drain plug on the transmission housing to let gravity do the work for you….but that seems increased chance for a mess. We got almost all of the transmission fluid out with the oil change pump.

Valvoline Dex/Merc ATF works - picture from when we did this on my friends boat.

There are specific instructions on checking the final fluid level (e.g. run engine in idle & then check the level afterwards). If you are confident that the 'cold' level was correct prior to changing the fluid, you can use that to baseline where to fill it to when you do the change.

Thanks for the feedback. Sounds like an easy enough job, then.
1st job when the boat goes in the water!

Chaz_360- I appreciate the write up. I ordered the windshield gasket from FP. Hopefully it will be warm enough to install next week! Thanks again, super helpful

Marina Battery question for my 05 360 DA, the owners manual says to use for 31 deep cycle batteries 31DC !!! Online I am reading that you should use dual purpose starting/deep cycle batteries and not to use the deep cycles alone for starting your boat. What have you guys put in your boat? Will the deep cycle batteries work?? I don’t wanna ruin any of the electrical system in the boat . Again, the owners manual is calling for 31DC ??
Help help help

I put new Group 31 Deep Cycle batteries in when I bought my boat and got 4 seasons out of them. Just replaced with the same before launch a few weeks ago.
