I know documented vessels have Vessel GT on the paperwork. Is there a formula for computing this number on non-documented boats? This is for my USCG Small Vessel Sea Service Forms.

Thanks in advance!

Yes, the old USCG doc forms have the formula, but it isn't for the faint of heart or calculator. I think I have a copy at home........I'm boating in Fla this week (74 degrees and sunny). If you can't locate it, I'll look for it when I get home. I think I still have your email address but will shoot you a PM if I can't find it.

L x B x D (depth not draft) x .67 (for power) or .5 (for sail)100

Length time Breadth times Depth

Thanks. I think I'll try a different approach on some boats I operated, by just asking others what their cert. of doc. says.
