cabin entry door lock 1990 350EC

Hey guys, I am looking for a lock for my cabin entry door (see below). I was told the p/n listed on my manual and original repair guide was "discontinued with no listed alternative". The part has been missing the entire time I have had the boat, so I am not even sure what a viable alternative might look like. Anyone out there been through this and could offer some advice or a part?

OVERPOWERED - It's surprising to me that no one has any alternative to this. There has to be enough boats out there with this set-up to have something. Even it was a non-stocked special order. Good luck in your hunt... if I find anything, i'll be sure to let you know!

Just curious, how many hours do you have on your Mercs, and what kind cruising speed are you getting?

i have 1000 hours on the motors and I have Michigan Wheel 4 Blade 17x16 at 3000rpm im doing 23mph on gps

at WOT im around 37mph

Hello all,
Same issue here, but I have the drum part of it, just missing the lock bar. does anyone has a functioning lock picture to share?
I am petty handy and I want to see if I can kind of make the part missing based on the picture and if works to share to those in need ;-).
