BVI Itinerary/Destination Suggestions

I did not see powerboat before I wrote....I would definitely hit Cannel Bay and St John for two (2) nights. I am not a huge St Thomas guy, but you could always sneak in

Okay favorite "upscale" destinations......Peter Island (PI)/Leverick Bay (VG)/Bitter End (VG)/Scrub Island/Anegada(Just Go)/Little Dix (VG)/Caneel Bay (SJ)

Thanks SO much for all the info! Very helpful. PS - I don't think you can arrive by boat to Little Dix (no marina/slips) but I am going to double check.

We did a 48 Horizon with Virgin Traders last January, and it was great. The boat ran fine, but cosmetically it could have used some work; but then again it is a rental. Everything worked well and it was clean. I have a thread called BVI 2012 which has a link to photobucket with some pictures from the trip. We were moored every night, but it was easy to get to shore with the dinghy. If you like better dining, I would spend more time at the Bitter End, Saba Rock, & Liverick Bay. JVD is fun, we were there two nights, but it I don't think it will meet your dinner expectations of upper end dining. We didn't do Peter Island, but I would put it in our plans if we go back because I think our outlook would be more like yours for a second trip.

Thanks Brutus, good info. Saba Rock is a place I had not heard of, checking out their site now. Appreciate the advice!

Scrub Island is another for sure stop I would make. We moored in Trellis Bay and took the ferry over for drinks and lunch. I would go there next time and take a dock. We had about 6, 100 footers there during our stay, nice place to walk and look. We thought we wanted to do dinner at the Last Resort, but it was so-so; I wish we would have spent more time and did dinner at Scrub Island. You can get all the Trellis Bay you need if you get to the airport early and take a short walk; but I have to say we did not do the full moon party.

If going to Jost Van Dyke
Don't miss Sydney's Peace and Love Restaurant
Pick your own lobster for dinner
Honor Bar

Also Rudy's Bar on Jost Van Dyke

Have bareboat chartered there 4 times and also went through Trawlers in BVI for two weeks.

Have a great time!!

Definitely - both Scrub and JVD are on my list (not so much for bar hopping but seems like lots to see and do at JVD especially).

Regards,
Jason

We went here for a quick look, but it definitely made me want to come back next trip, moor near here, do dinner, etc. This may be up your alley also.

Hmmm - Biras looks amazing. I was planning to stay at Leverick though, right nearby. From the websites it looks like there might be a little more to do at Leverick, but hard to say. If we stay at Leverick we'll go over to Biras for a lunch or dinner, or vice versa. Tough call ... anyone stay at both and can compare/contrast?

Thanks!
Jason
