I am an online shopper, is there a way to buy sea ray parts/accessories online? I know there are online fiche for other makes/models/vehicles and stuff and its really nice to look at a drawing too at what you want. I just purchased a 260 sundeck and wanted to pick up an extra table and post. Any way to shop online? Also would be a nice way to browse and see what else sea ray has to offer for accessories too.

I posted a similar question when I first got into boating & CSR. I think what you will hear is that, for the most part, if you want to "browse" on line you will have to go to the OEM's website. I was going to start ranting here but I'll refrain. Perhaps the elders will chime in.

Your Sea Ray dealer can order you whatever you want but browsing for parts & accessories on line.......Good luck!

You are out of luck unless you want used stuff.

Sea Ray has comprehensive dealer agreements as well as proprietary control of items made for the for inclusion in new boats. Once a boat is no longer in production, Sea Ray will sometimes allow the OEM vendor to sell direct where it makes little sense to use the dealer network. I've had luck on small parts where the mark up would be so low that the dealer didn't care to get involved.

Your best bet is to develop a working relationship with the parts guy at your dealer, or use off-brand components if you need to shop on-line.

Thanks everyone...
Didnt actually take delivery of boat yet, signed all papers and have insurance, but they are still repairing a few cosmetic details. Didnt want to put the boat in my sig yet till i actually picked it up. Dont want to jinx myself :smt089

If you can find the parts manual for your boat on SR's website, you could at least look at schematics and see the appropriate part numbers for any option that a 260SD would have. You'd still have to physically call a dealer to order it (or email).

I agree. But being part of CSR opens you up to a little jabbing once in a while.

Dennis has helpped me too amoung many others on this site.

Thanks, John! I appreciate the kind words.:smt001

And, yes, I knew Tom was kidding. A little bit of laughter helps the world go 'round!
