Hello, I am new to chat rooms and am almost sure that I will be purchasing a 20 year old Searay 340 Espress Cruiser soon. Does anybody here run on the Illinois River? This looks like the perfect opportunity to run the Illinois River from Chicago to the Mississippi. Anybody on this forum ran that river recently? Is there a good fuel stop south of Beardstown? What is the ideal cruising speed for my boat to maximize economy? What MPG (or GPM can I expect? ETC....
