I just got my original swiveler flag pole for the bow. I was curious on what everyone was flying on the bow of their boat. I know that the Amercian Flag is a no no on the bow. What do you fly, why and where did you come across it!

I fly our club flag and my treasurer flag.....yes I've never seen a treasurer flag before but I was presented one when I took office at our boat club a few years ago. I have two poles on my bow rail left and right of my spotlight. They call me the "Money Guy"! It's a paid elected office and it pays my fuel bill! I'm good with that. They are both the same size pennants, Mike.

It's okay to fly the Ensign Flag on the bow.

I usually fly this from the bow pole...

... but I have to find a place for the CSR burgee now, so probably the martini will fly from one of the (straight) antennas this summer.

I too fly the Ensign Flag.

To the Yacht Ensign on Bow Rail guys, I am curious what documented source you found that it was proper to fly the 13 Star Yacht Ensign on the bow rail? I only ask because everything I have ever read has said the 13 Star Yacht Ensign or Power Squadron Ensign could be substituted for the traditional 50 Star flag but it was to be treated as a traditional 50 Star Flag from a respect and etiquette standpoint meaning it was to fly on the stern; Of course in reference to a recreational powerboat.

But then again, I am always open to being ed-u-mi-cated.
