I check the NOAA site to see wave height and other data a lot. Recently the Michigan City buoy has not been reading at all and the next one up The coast has not been updated in real time.

If I check at 9:30 am it will show a 6:00 am reading then the 9:30 reading will show several hours later. Not of any use to me.

Are others of you experiencing this? Any idea why?

The Michigan City buoy experienced issues starting several weeks ago and ultimately they have taken it out of the water for repairs. Not sure about the others being delayed.

Just checked St.Jo. and the Lake Michigan south bouy. Both of those are on station and current.

Interesting. That is a private buoy owned on operated by the the Illinois-Indiana Sea Grant and Purdue University It is seasonal and privately funded, and definitely out of commission. The next one up the coast looks to be the Cook Nuclear Plant Buoy owned by Limno Tech (another private buoy) Looks like it stopped transmitting about 1 this afternoon, but their website doesn't say why.
