Bumper or stop for a flat windowed Sea Ray?

34 year old CLASSIC 300 DA, towed almost anywhere behind the Duramax Dually Crew Cab.
Engines
16 cyl, 700 cu. in./Alpha I's
I'm trying to find this little part for my flat windowed 300 DA. I've looked at Taylor, Perko, Windline, McMaster-Carr, Boatbroke, yachbasinmarina, WM and other sites trying to find it and I give up! I need four of them, one for the anchor locker, bathroom door, cabin door and transom door. This is the worst one, but the rest aren't far behind. I can't seem to find them anywhere. I haven't tried the local Sea Ray dealer because IF they had it, it would be about 5 times what someone else will sell it for especially for the flat window boats!





Any suggestions?

It's hard from the picture to tell what it is. The pic is small. Is it a small rubber bumper?

If so, I bought some white Pemko smoke seal I installed on transom door to keep it from rattling when it's close and it works well.
Let me know I have lot's left over.

Yep, a small rubber bumper about an inch square.

Perko smoke seal? I don't think I want to know what you use THAT for! :grin: Is that just an adhesive in a tube or something? I'll go look it up.....

We use it in on doors all the time.
I just ordered the white stuff to blend into the boat.

I have some left over on the roll. Adhesive on one side and the teardrop on the other. It's like weatherstripping but not maybe the bumper your' looking for.

We have bumpers too, but they're smaller

Are you sure it's Perko smoke seal? I don't see that in there catalog anywhere? I'll make a trip to one of the hardware stores and maybe I'll find something. I just thought someone here may have replaced their recently and might know where to get them!

Click on my link, it's Pemko Smoke seal not Perko.
I can send you some as well. I have extra.
 
Ah! Our posts crossed paths! PEMKO. I could probably cut two one inch pieces and stack them to give me the correct height. Then I could run a screw down the middle. That would probably work in a pinch. I figured I could cut a bunch of squares of of some white UHMD and cut a recess for the screw down the middle. These are a softer rubber though.
 
They are sold at Menards and Ace Hardware. Just bought one.

I bought some from a hardware store in the furniture section but they didn't last. I don't think the adhesive is weatherproof.

Those that you showed for a shower application would be best I'd think as far as being water resistant. Not sure what effect the sun would have on them though?

Not sure what they are called as I threw away the packaging. Ask a clerk where they stock rubber bumpers and stoppers. Some of them have adhesive on the back and others have that plus a hole in the center that accomodates a screw. Or, you can punch a small hole in them and drill out the top to allow room for counter sinking a stainless screw.
 
That looks exactly like what I used. Lasted about two weeks. Maybe could stick them with some marine type glue if you can't screw them down? But if they aren't UV resistant (I don't know) you haven't accomplished anything.
