Hey we haven't decided what we are doing yet, but the possibility of selling our 310 came up. Looking at possibly buying a lake house in Michigan to spend the summers at. As I'm doing some research, I'm trying to find out what is the common % a broker will charge in selling your boat (just figuring where I may come out on after fees/charges). Thanks!

10% in west Michigan. I suppose it is negotiable.

If a broker takes a listing and promises less than 10%, it will mean that no other broker will even try to sell the boat. It takes a minimum of 10% to give 2 brokers enough room to work out a co-brokerage deal between them.

Want the boat sold quick? List it at 15% commission.

Big time ditto... Works the same in real estate.

The brokers in my marina ask 13%

I just had a friend sell his 28 Pursuit last week and we looked around to compare fees before he listed it. All were 10% here in Fl.

Thanks everybody for the info..we still haven't made up our mind of how long to keep the boat, so we'll see what happens.
