My newly aquired 2001 Sea Ray port motor has a fuel problem. It has a strong spark but won't start. (It had run for only 5 hours then stopped) :smt013 It's EFI, starboard motors runs fine. I believe it's fuel starvation. Has anyone experienced this problem. I need help !!

Thanks

Fuel, compression, spark. Assuming you've got compression, it's got to be fuel as you said. Do you hear the fuel pump(s) running when you turn the ignition key "on"?

Could it be the pesky IAC? (idle air controller). Many people carry a spare on board. It is a 10 minute swap out. Do your motors have one?

I tried replacing IAC, still ng. The starboard motor feeds off of same fuel line, single gas tank and runs fine.

In addition to the above here, the fuel system has a fuel shutoff valve. Follow the fuel lines back from the engine. It is the unit with a set of wires and in and out fuel lines. It is normally opened by ignition, and has a mechanical override feature. You should be able to manually open the valve.

I run my 2 bilge blowers from the time I start the engine until I shut the engine off.
I think it keeps the engine bay COOLER.
