This is getting fun...

<snip>... Have you ever spent any real time in California? We have beautiful beaches and oceans for boating; lakes, rivers, mountains and deserts. Yes its crowded. Yes there are earthquakes. Yes the state is in debt. But why do you think it is so crowded? Its because many, many people have discovered the beauty and resourses that California has to offer... <snip>

Silly me. I thought that it was only because the settlers ran out of land to run the covered wagons on and they got stuck there.

There is a huge difference between Southern CA and Northern CA. I am not a fan of SoCal as far as the terrain, most people, traffic, smog, etc. The water is beautiful however! Northern cA is much better for scenery and attitudes, just look at the difference between Giant's fans and Dodger fans!

We have wide open spaces here once you are outside of the Bay Area proper. I live 30 miles from SF and I barely have neighbors. We are a 3 hour drive from great snow skiing so we can go water skiing and snow skiing the same day if we want. Now if you talk about politics, taxes and all of that....I am not a fan!

Let me help Cpt. Sundancer here... I was thinking, It would just piss Gary off to no end.....

So I'm going to try to load up Sexy Horse and the woolly donkey Jill on the 270 this summer. "Photos will come" Can't you see me now, just sailing by all the hot hangout spots, Donkey braying, Hose whinnying.
Awww it will be great. Heck,,,maybe a Pigs oinking.
Hell come to think of it,,,I may just bring a rooster or 2.

Hey Heather don't forget to put some plywood down on the deck before loading the livestock. Those hooves are tough on the non skid.

I'll stay right here in "sticky ole Florida"!! The only thing I like in Cali is In-n-out-Burger! I have to go out there and Vegas several times a year and I don't look forward to it:smt009 My skin dries out and peels and looks like a snake shedding skin...lol Now as far as "potbellies" on boats, we have our fair share! And most of the boats with the "potbellies" are heading back to port as we are heading out:thumbsup:

Ski Bum thanks for the support. Thing is all though I too love the horses and the mules, here is the big difference. Ko-Jac lives in our house with us, and is completely housebroken and has a strict routine he follows. I dont have to clean up after him. Merry Christmas and enjoy your holiday season. Do I have the record yet for the most comments on a thread ? If not, please post, good or bad. HAVE A MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR

All the bitterness in this thread is troubling. I've always found mint jelly helps alleviate bitterness. If that doesn't solve the bitterness, a healthy dose of barbecue sauce often works wonders.
So you add to the bitterness? See here Ko-Jac is our pet, our 4 legged family member. Yes we get defensive and upset. The request was for ideas and help find away to get our Pig on and off our boat safely. We got some wonderful ideas that not only are safe but cost effective. Yes there was some fun teasing and joking that were humorous. I have to say for the most part, most were rude, insulting and violent and put both Rick and I on the defensive. So ya we got aggressive in our defense for our amazing Ko-Jac. We are just not use to such snide remarks. Ko-Jac is accepted and greet on our dock with enthusiasm. Boaters who see him on the beach wave and shout his name, often coming to the beach to take pictures of him and bring him a treat. Guess we are spoiled, and were a bit on the naive side to think all people would be so accepting of him. I have never met or saw a person yet who meets or greets Ko-Jac and they dont smile. Happy Holidays LA Cook

I will say this has been educational, pig jokes aside. I had no idea that a pig could be house broken, well, I thought a pig could break a house just fine, but didn't know they could be so domesticated.

I guess pork is good for the soul on many different levels and receipes. :)

I don't think I'll be picking up any pet piggies, I'll just stick with dogs, begrudgingly cats, toads, and ferrets.
Please remember Ko-Jac is not a livestock or farm animal pig, he was not bred to be food. He was bred to be just what he is a pet, or a family member. At his full grown weight he maybe 125 or 150. A sow or a boar raised to be food can reach almost 1000 pounds.

I'll have you know that I have animals on my boat...

Only if they sport the latest in harnesses from Nantucket and get a pedicure twice a year though. And we used to have a cat that would take a dump in my shoes every day and I was nice enough to take it out fishing on the boat one time after that.

So not only do you have a pig on your boat, but your antennas are crooked, you have toe fungus, you don't flush, you can't spell and your boat is dirty?

Speaking of pigs.. did you ever watch the "Pigs in Space" skits on the muppets in the 70's?
The SWEET T IS SPOTLESS!!! She is old and paid for and she is SPOTLESS, we get comments ALL the time on what a good looking boat she is and how well cared for she is.. Dont be dis-ing the Sweet T she has NOTHING to do with this. No we dont have a prissy boat, but we have a boat we take good care of and enjoy and dont have payments on. She is mechanical sound, and looks SWEET! Thank you very much!!!!

Four sons, it's no wonder you have 4 screaming kids,2 stupid dogs and 1 angry wife....bet they all want to throw you overboard :smt021 and I see that one of your antenna's are not straight, and I bet you bought them from radioshack. Why does your boat lean to one side? did you overfill your waste tank with all the crap that comes out of you?, or is it caused by your family going to the other side of the boat to get away from you?

OUCH RICK! Not so nice, but so deserving.

cpt. sundancer & lacook, Why don't you guys just put Gary on your ignore list ?? .

No one can put me on their ignore list. I have special powers.

And my boat is not leaning... it doesn't lean... well.. unless my wife goes to a particular side...

and if his boat leans one way or the other, we know why... He has 3 or 4 piggers(i forget how many(one would tip pretty much any boat a little), I tried to burn that image out of my mind, but unfortunately parts of it still exists) of his own that he takes on board from time to time.

Dear Pig Owners,

If you had been on this forum for any length of time you would have realized the general humor of this forum.

You guys are the ones to blame for this thread going as far as its gone. Your lack of a sense of humor and your stupid replys has only fueled the additional posts.

My only advice is....lighten up.

I'm out.

I love verbal sparing with Gary. I love to chat and I think he does too. But you know,,,, I'm just a HAM anyway. So,, just saying
