Breakaway Cable Pulled

Okay, had a little mishap with the neighbor's dog the other day... as he was running through my yard with my dogs, his leg got caught on the breakaway cable and pulled it hard enough to activate it. After getting the dog to relax, we did get the cable that hooked itself around his leg off...

But now I am unsure how to reset the breakaway lever. I see a little clip that seems to have popped loose, but do not know how it was originally set in there...

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

John

I think we are going to need a little more info on the type of hitch you have. I have a Titan 10 and it is pretty straight forward to reset so I am thinking you have something else.

Here a link to the users manual for the Mod 6. On page two at the bottom step 6.

"6. Should the breakaway be accidentally applied while un-hitching, or by the neighbors dog, pry the spring clip out of notch to release lever."

The exploded view on page 6 shows the spring item 9 that needs to be reset.

hope this is what you are looking for. They have all the Titan models and I have used them for parts before.
