Bravo III shift cable?

Hi everyone.

I don't know how oftern you mechanical folks check out the Gas Engines/Drives/Transmissions/Props section, but I've got a post over there (same title as this) that's I'd appreciate your help on.

the culprit has been apprehended!!

Outer shifting cable sheathing was split. Didin't show under no load, but with tension on the system the inner cable "bulged" out through the split instead of moving the shift lever.

Special thanks to wish2fish for the diagram he posted on my other thread showing exactly what the cable/outdrive interface looks like!

So I shouldn't be mad at Sea Ray for putting in a crappy shift cable 20 years ago? I'm just replacing the ORIGINAL shift cables this week!! :grin:
