Smart Craft just through out a (Fault 131 - Trim Ckt Low) on my starbd drive. Drive goes up and down ok, but SmartCraft trim display shows the drive all the way down all the time. I know the drive has 2 sensors on the outdrives, does any of you know which side is causing this? Looking at the drive from the stern - left or right. Also, how and or where does it connect. Boat on lift, so if relatively simple, can possibly repair on the lift. Planning on having the drives serviced at the end of the season, but would like to have this working as I have to trim up pretty high to get in and out of my creek. Thanks, :)

If you have smartcraft, only one sensor is real, the other is a dummy. The one on the port side of the boat is the functioning one. The wire plugs into a plug at the rear of the engine compartment, probably higher up on the motor.

That replacement would be near impossible on a lift. Most mechanics require the drive pulled to replace it but if it is sitting on the shore, it can be done without pulling the drive.

Paul-I do not mean to contradict you, but I think you mean if you have DTS, you only have one that reads. On my 06” 260DA with Smart Craft, I had the trim limit on the port side and the sensor on the starboard side.

I believe that the DTS systems only use one.

Standard version is trim sensor on the R, trim limit switch L.
