Silly question here,

I just replaced my 26p props 3x3 blade props with 24p 4x3 blades.

But now I am having major trouble getting on plane and the engine really struggles - I don't even try to go past 2600 rpm as the speed is only 10mph.

I'm wondering if the mechanic installed the props backwards as if they are fighting each-other.

The engine sounds great when at idle or under 1500 rpm but after that it sounds really strained.

The props were the only mechanical mod made this year before splashing

New props - do they look right ..?

They can only go on one way.
If they spin freely in neutral, all is good with the install.
Time to put the originals back on and see if the problem stays. Props should not have caused that issue.

Thanks im pulling her out this week and will the 26p props again.

If the 26p props work i’ll have a set of 24’s for sale

The 24's should have made the boat get on plane easier. I can't imagine how the new props would be the issue. Are you POSITIVE that nothing else was done? Plugs/wires, for example?
