Bravo 3 magnesium anode in fresh water

I think this is something that’s going to be a trial and error, mags lasted 6 months really, cannot afford to have any more corrosion on drives as I fear it will start leaking oil, just hope the nav alloy saves the day

"trial and error" - yes, often times that's exactly what it is. Just monitor closely and if things aren't going well, switch back to Mg. I would also suggest checking into some of the things mentioned above... stray current or a neighbor.

"Fear of leaking oil" - post some pics of your drive without the props on?

Hi
Here is a photo of the drive with bearing carrier exposed, it’s heavily corroded by the seal, just lucky the seal is deep or it would be totally exposed in parts , also heavy pitting on the lower casing too. I have painted the carrier in the past to protect it

What paint is on that drive, looks like bottom paint?

Hmmm. That seems to be a strange corrosion pattern. It looks more like damage than corrosion. That's "kinda" a good thing since it shouldn't really get any worse. Just keep up with your painting and monitoring.
