Looking for tips on how to maintain the 1 owner beauty I just bought. It has the 888,888 combo and is nearly mint. Any tips on things to watch out for, or preventative maintenance would be helpful.

Thanks guys

Welcome aboard. We love pics on this board.

Just some basics;

Keep her clean.
Keep the fiberglass waxed often. Once a year would be good, twice better. We have a hard time keeping up with this one.
Keep the teak oiled. Try to re-oil when you see a section needing it.
Keep her dry on the inside while not in use.
Engine oil changes(winterize) and tune ups similar to an auto.
Lower unit, look at bellows, oil/grease.

Star Brite offers some great cleaning and waxing products. Some have nice results with Meguires products.

Just keep it cleaned and protected with wax and oils and the engine and lower unit properly maintained. You can wipe the vinyl down with plain water to keep it clean. Covered and dry storage is best, out of the sun and elements.

Have you had a boat prior to this one? Boating courses are a good idea and I believe our family is planning on going again. Our Kentucky division of Fish and Wildlife offers these in state.

Congratulations on the purchase.
