Has anyone had a bow thruster installed in their 34 Dancer & what size did you use and so on?

We install thrusters and would recommend the SE80 that has 176lb of thrust and is 6hp. We start our journey up the east coast starting in middle of march and could give you an excellent deal if you would like. You can email us at sales@nationwidebowthrusters.com or call toll free 877-498-1005.

I also wonder why you think you need thrusters. We own a 320 and have not felt it would be necessary in any conditions we have been in.

Same question -why do you think you need a bow thruster? We cruise to different marinas, all with different winds, currents, etc. She is a 370 Dancer and does very well when we need to dock her

Maybe he is just not comfortable docking the boat? I couldn't justify the cost of an install on my 330 but, I wouldn't mind using one if it was already there when I bought the boat!
Hey- Whatever makes the boating experience more enjoyable!!!

We had a Vetus bow thruster in stalled by Florida Bow Thrusters on our 340DA last Fall. Gives my wife "peace of mind", particularly in 20+ kt wind docking situations. Don't know thrust off the top, but can look up if you're interested. BTW, my wife (as a present) also bought me the remote so that I can operate the thruster from anywhere on boat, but I would NOT recommend buying as we hardly ever use it (except when dock mates acquired one night and started making the boat move!!!)

Very handy to have. Like anything else, whatever makes you feel good!

Bow thrusters are very handy especially in tight quarters with the wind blowing. I used Florida Bowthusters to do my install and I couldnt be happier. They used to work for Sea Ray in Florida doing the factory installs and they are true craftsmen and very professional. They had a mobile crew in my marina on LBI in NJ last week. Give them a call they will be glad to recommend a unit and give you a estimate. BTW my boat is a 410da with a light bow, it likes to fly in the wind.

MIke

I noticed that myself a bit last weekend. Approximately what did it cost for this? I'm not thinking about it right now but in the future it would make life easier...

Cost me $7K with remote, but that was after Florida Bowthrusters was had at least 3 X other thrusters installed and we "supposedly" received a group discount. FYI, the bigger the boat, the more the cost.
