So I decided to look at the members list today. Under Members Current visitors there is a "Robots" page. You can also see what guest's are doing what. Check out these quick screen shots. But in short, when I took these screen captures there were 12 pages of bot's, 8 pages of guest's and only 11 members, yes 11 members - not pages.

I get there are a certain number of bot's and guest's but man this is extreme. And I believe some of the guest's are bot's, just the really smart AI one's.

I for one would like to see this forum not be public anymore and have to pass a CAPTCHA to gain access. But this is just me.

I don't always sign in when just viewing so even though I'm a member it counts me as a guest. Likely other members are the same.

Ok but you joined last month and this is your 2nd post. Not sure how long you've been viewing the forum. But I always have the remember me on so I don't have to log on. I think most are like that given the amount of post's that stated that was broken when the site switched.

If you click on one of the names it will resolve to what it is.

This is from the GoogleBot - check out how often it access's the site!

How Googlebot accesses your site

For most sites, Googlebot shouldn't access your site more than once every few seconds on average. However, due to delays it's possible that the rate will appear to be slightly higher over short periods.

The site is getting inundated with bots.

Yep I recently signed up as a member but have been viewing regularly for over a year now. Looking forward to contributing. I wasn't aware of the remember me ability to stay logged in, thanks. Unfortunately I may not be a tech savvy as others. On a positive note my number of posts has gone up 300% in less than a month.
