I was in furniture store recently looking at funiture and saw bonded leather chairs. Sales lady said it was basicly ground up cow hide glued back together. Sort of like partical board. It look more durable than fabric and looks like it would clean up better than fabric. Has any one put it in their boat? If yes please let us all know what you think of the product?

The bonded leather seems to flake apart rather quickly on office chairs & the like. I have REAL leather furnature in my living room that is going on 20 years old and it still looks great.

Personally on a boat I would go with marine vinyl.

I can tell you we had a 'bonded" leather couch and the dogs killed it within a week. Never again!

I have a leather couch on the boat and two fake leather chairs. Both are holding up well, but time will tell. Google bonded leather, I was under the impression it's a lot more vinyl/plastic than leather.
