I was flipping through my latest copy of BoatUS mag and found the following consumer alert: "Sea Ray Boats Inc. Recall 060108S - 2007 175 BR: Boats failed to meet test for flotation." That sounds extremely bad, but I don't know all the particulars of the floatation tests. However, I did want to pass this on to any 175 owners that haven't received a recall notice.

I would prefer that my boat floats

Dang. I hoped find "all 240 Sundecks equipped with 540cid engines are being recalled for possible BIII drive failures. All 540cid equipped 240's will have updated BIII XR drives installed along with external hydraulic steering."

 Oh well........

If you 175 guys carry as many noodles in your boat as I had in my 240SD, it will have plenty of flotation. :wow: :wow:

I must have had 20 noodles in the sole locker of my 240SD. :smt043 :smt043

Now I know why your 240 was so fast it was floating in the air with all them noodles  :smt043

After reading the post it looks like it is only 57 units. Must have had a bad week at the factory. :smt014 I assume they are going to blow more flotation material in the boat as part of the recall  :smt017  Let us know if any of you have yours recalled and fixed. Thanks
