Hey everyone,

We got our pictures taken today by BoatPix in a helicopter. Hopefully they got some pretty good shots, as we were going about 35-40 mph

Has anyone gotten shots from them? Could you post them? Just wondering how they'll come out... they should arrive in 2-3 weeks, and we pick the ones that we like to keep, and send back the ones we don't want. That's a long wait, and we can't even preview the shots online

Anyway, just wondering if anyone has pictures they could post.
I can't wait til ours arrive :smt038

It was definitely pretty cool. The helicopter was just about 50 feet of the starboard bow. Definitely cool

Have you seen the prices you pay for this service?:wow::wow::wow:

They took pictures of my boat last year, but the liquor store that I robbed did not have enough funds to buy the pictures:smt089....let me know how your pictures turn out.

Yes I saw :smt100
Haha, but this is quite a unique service with not a lot of opportunities to have this done.

I'll let you know how they come out!

we had some taken about 3 weeks ago, and ordered them, but they have not arrived. i will post the results as soon as we get them. i figure i robbed one bank to buy the boat, what's another to get a unique picture of her?

Pricey but well worth the money.Had it done twice for two different boats.Kinda hard to take a great moving picture of your pride and joy while moving along on your favorite water...

We arranged to have boat pox take pictures of our boat at one of the fishing tournaments here. They came out great and we bought one. The frame ended up costing more than the picture. Boat Pix does a really nice job and took the pictures from all angles, because they take so many you are sure to find one that you like.

One of my firefighters is a pilot and we're going to be doing a fly-by of my marina to get some of the boat in the slip... not quite the same but still a fun day nonetheless.

I have had a few boats photographed by Boat Pix and they all have turned out great. The price is outrageous, but as someone said, it is unique and I think it was worth it. I negotiated with them to give me the prints they mailed if I agreed to buy the digital files- I wanted the digital files for sharing, posting, etc. Here are some samples (I have about 10 in all):

We had boatpix fly over us last year while near Newport News, VA. I wasn't familar with them, so I was a bit skeptical of the company. One of the other captains in our floatilla ordered pictures of his boat and the quality was outstanding. I quickly contacted boatpix and ordered mine, as did another captain in our group. We are all very pleased.

I'm reviewing some of my boat right now. I only got 3 pics to choose from, though. One rear 3/4, one side, one front 3/4 and all pretty close-up.

They flew past our anchorage a few times last weekend. I think we had our pants on, but, who knows?

Let's get some pictures on this thread! Let's check these bad boys out. We'll help you make your decision

I got my picture taken last September on the Chesapeake north of Kent Island. There was a big poker run on the bay that day for go fast boats. They sent me a letter in January but no sample photo, asked over $800. I just could not buy with out seeing. I was skeptical. Now after reading this thread I wish I did. (If I had $800).

Go to the BoatPix website. They should have it archived. You fill out an info form, enter a credit card number, so they can hold it on file. They should mail you the shots, and you choose the ones you like to keep and send back the ones you don't want. Try it!
