We left the dock around 11am on Sat. I was very surprised to see that at idle this boat is moving around 6.3 mph. So you have to engage one engine then take it out, then the other to get out of a fairway. I did learn how to use the slow idle from Greg. We left LI sound and entered the East river jumped up on plane for a while to get a feel for the boat. Then slowed between the Manhatten bridge and the Brooklyn bridge to take photos and let our friends take it all in. With the Verrazano bridge in sight we again jumped up on plane we cruised around 3 miles off shore to the Jones Beach Inlet. 1 bridge opening and continued a slow cruise to the marina. The boat handles great she's fast steady and pretty economical . We where very comfy on the bridge you wouldn't have guessed it was 35* outside. See heres a few shots of the crew and sights View attachment 38273View attachment 38274View attachment 38275View attachment 38276View attachment 38277View attachment 38278View attachment 38279View attachment 38281 that was Johnathan outside the inlet in front of us he was the photographer if your wondering why he's so close .

What a stunning yacht! So happy for you. Can't wait to be cruising again.

Great shots, congrats again and thanks for sharing your maiden voyage with us!

Congratulations - through all the ups and downs of your roller coaster ride, it ended still on the tracks and with an absolutly beautiful boat.

She looks great Joe!! Enjoy every minute with her. Sorry I was not able to provide a second escort for you with Jonathan. Thought I could squeeze it in, but prior commitments did not allow for me to get out there.

Congrats, Joe. Nice looking boat (ok my opinion on that may be a bit partial). SO what was Greg doing up on the hard top? Or were you just enjoying your foot fantasy?

Joe
Congrats! Was looking at your pix of the ride and wondering why you were heading south. I get it now (south shore of LI). Beautiful! Best of luck and many happy journeys!
