Let's see everybody's ideas.

This year, I got one of these for my clean-freak wife.

She has been talking for months about wanting a way to wash the boat with a sprayer that just sucks up lake water because there is no power or water at our dock. This will be perfect since it comes with a hose for that purpose.

We're talking cleaning off dead bugs and the occasional spilled adult beverage, not any heavy duty pressure cleaning needs.

Anytime you can buy something that facilitates the admiral cleaning the boat, you gotta go for it.

A friend has one of these, great for quick clean ups, but not strong enough for a thorough cleaning. Should work for your needs, as described. $120 is kinda high, considering a wet sponge will do the same thing.

Does a 2-week European river cruise that starts with 2 days ashore in Zurich and ends with 4 days in Paris count as a boating related Christmas gift?

only if presents are also involved....:)......

Geeesh Cliff, you drive a hard bargain. I'm sure there will be some "adult presents" involved whilst on this trip.

Has anyone else actually owned / used this portable pressure washer? I like the idea. I've tried rigging up pumps, hoses etc on our boat when we are at anchor for several days, just to give the boat a quick spray down to clear overnight bugs, dust, etc but it was pain to set up. This cordless unit looks good. I wonder how much head it can prime. When on the bow of the boat it will need to draw up about 7-8 feet.

She’s getting me some custom fitted bottoms sheels for the master berth and I’m booking a 12 day trip to Italy for late winter.

All I can tell you is that the hose it comes with is about 15'-20'-ish feet long so I assume it would fit your needs but I've never tried it. I hope it can pull that much head pressure since I'll likely want to use it to clean the 5th wheel as well.

Over the first season for the new to us 310 Da. We have bought plenty of new gear.On one of our first trips to the beach at Cedar Point in early spring with water temps around 59 degrees I was pulling anchor with the winch working perfectly which made me happy nothing could be better.Standing there watching the rope pull in until the 50' of chain hit the roller and down to the bottom it went.So for Christmas I'm getting stainless chain 150' of line and a 22 lbs.Delta plow anchor. Because my back up anchor looks like ?h!t on the front of our boat.

I have one and it does OK. Just ok. It did draw the water up and should do just fine for rinsing off the bugs and a quick wash. My wife got it for me last year because I'm kind of a clean freak. I really haven't used it much because I wash the boat just about every morning before we go out for the day and the times we stayed on the hook I just waited till we got back to the dock. I'm not knocking the pressure washer, I'm glad I have it. Just don't set your expectations to high. I also use it for spraying out the dinghy. If nothing else you have something that most people don't.;)

Jaika I is getting a new audio with Bluetooth and CDs.....

Do you hook this up on a garden hose or you draw from the lake?

It comes with a hose that has a small screen on the end of it and all you do is toss it in the lake and it draws from the lake. It takes a little bit before the water gets to the gun so give it some time. I almost gave up on it. I have a lot of the WORX products (pressure washer, blower for the cockpit area and floats, blower for the driveway at home, and the weed whacker) and I'm pretty impressed with all of them. They are definitely not the most powerful in any category, but they are easy to store and use. Handy as heck for small quick projects. When I get to the boat on Friday night I can grab the blower and have the cockpit dash and cockpit blown out in a couple minutes. Here in Michigan we have a few weeks of Fish Fly season and I use the blower for the boat and the dock. If not when you walk down the dock it sounds like your walking on Rice Krispy's .
