Hi Guys,

With Winter approaching down south I thought it was time to put a video
together of "what I did in my Summer holidays". A far more interesting
video however, would be one showing what I didn't do in my Summer
holidays with guest appearances by 'the lawn', the car engine' and 'the
freakin paint on the house'! But oh well..maybe another time.

In contrast, as Summer beckons in the Northern hemisphere I see a number
of forum threads devoted to the 'pre-splash' task lists. One thread got
my attention in particular as it was discussing whether all the
maintenance and time and money that goes into a boat is worth it. I think everyone gave an emphatic 'yes' to the question with days on the water precious and delicious at the same time.

We have a program on a radio station in New Zealand that I like to listen
to. The host invites guests to discuss things like who they would take
with them on a trip to Mars, what they would eat and read and what music
they would listen to. The guest is then asked to give their version of
'the best song ever written'.

If I was a guest on that show (and I never would be since Im not famous,
sporty, academic, a politician or a person of interest) I would choose a
song for which part of lyrics are:( Many of you will recognise the song strainght away.)

And you run and you run to catch up with the sun, but it's sinking
Racing around to come up behind you again
The sun is the same in a relative way, but you're older
Shorter of breath and one day closer to death.

So, this video and my choice of the 'best song ever written' is designed to make us all feel a little better about why spend so much time and money on this activity. While the admiral and I get some video time its really a generic video which I think any of us could relate to. I hope you enjoy it. :smt001

Caution: This video is 52mb in size. :wow: If your broadband connection is a little slow, download it overnight. You may want to load it directly to your harddrive rather than cache it. It seems to run a little jerky otherwise. There are stills in the front which lead into to video so be patient. Use a headset to get the best out of the music. :smt001
