I started wearing these last year. They are very comfortable and I haven’t worn them out yet.

The best shoes i wear on the boat are these. No scuff and water and sand run right through them and dry fast Screenshot_20201225-031943_Chrome.jpg

Stick them in the freezer for 24 hours, kills the organism that creates the odor. It worked on my tennis shoes.... I put them in a bag and use the deep freezer at home

Just looking at them, I like the draw strings in these. I tend to wear shoes on the dock especially while washing the boat. Take them off each time I step in the boat. I think these would be nice, added them to my Amazon list, thanks for starting this thread, lots of great info

I bought a pair of Crocs two years ago because I needed shoes I could get wet at the boat ramp. Now I wear the all the time. I was shoveling snow in them last week!

    I’ll give it a try.

I got a pair of cheap water shoes that had to be tossed half way though the summer. They literally made my garage stink like an animal died. It could have been from salt water critters, too.

I buy whatever boat shoe is on sale at Marshalls that has reasonably good traction.

As for Crocs, was surprised to see them shrink. I left them in the Florida sun this summer and they lost a few sizes in width and one in length. Looked online to see this is common. The 'remedy' is to boil them in water and when they're cool enough to put on you, put them on to stretch them to the proper size. Worked for width, not for length.

Worst case leave it a couple days, I was surprised how well it worked

I find Crocs on a boat too much like ice skating when they’re wet.

I love the look of some of the more modern Sperry shoes, however, they are for flat-footed people whereas I need something with an arch. I typically wear regular sneakers - Asics or Nike.

On my 3rd pair of Olukai. Great shoe for around the boat.

Check Costco online - Susan usually finds the $99 Sperry Topsiders for $27-$37 on sale. I's a "no socks, boat shoes" guy year round...

C3B49088-512B-4AB9-94F5-014A419D1003_sRGB.JPG I found some plastic Nike crocs that were comfortable and I wore them when washing the boat. Put them in the wash bucket with my brushes and soap. Easy to keep clean and never smelled. Also kept a pair of Sperry topsiders on board that never wore out because they stayed on the boat. I would put those on as soon as I boarded. Kept street shoes in a locker out of the way. They are also boat shoes bought on sale and no particular brand. I've always liked Sperry because of their comfort and good grip. I have boating acquaintance who lost a toe going shoeless. Got his toe between the rub rail and a concrete wall going through locks. Wear shoes!

I am one of those guys who thinks flip-flops should be banned from boats. Seen too many major falls because of them. That being said, when boating at the cove and the deck will be wet from people swimming, I wear all rubber slides from
Underarmour, $15 on Amazon. Nothing I have ever tried has a grip like these things wet or dry. They have weep holes for water draining so your feet dry quickly and are super comfortable. For day trips to restaurants and such it's Sperry, Bass or Rockport boat shoes. Trick with no socks and boat shoes is buy only the all leather shoes without foam inside like Sperry Originals.

I'm barefoot on the boat. Have a pair of Nike Slides for dock or ramp use that work perfect for that. Damn things are just too expensive! Out of 20-40 folks we tie up all weekend with, I don't think any of us wear shoes.
