I am trying to find the right name for the boat. So far, I have the black pearl, and aquaholic. Which do you think fits the boat best, or any other sugestions.

"Julie Anne"

It'll make your wife's day. I assume her name is not Julie Anne which is what would be a hoot. Take pictures of her face when she first sees it and post them here for us all to see.

I have been trying for a year and a half to decide on a good name for my 270. Couple of days ago, it occurred to me I should just name it what it is; 'Papa's Boat'. But not sure if that is really on my short list or not. But it is what the grandkids already call it.

'Sand Piper' is on the short list. Saw one on the beach yesterday when I was out in the boat, and wanted to get a good photo for maybe a graphic, but then missed it.

'le Mistral' I guess is no longer on the short list. It quit running about 20 years ago, so too dated. Come from an old RR family, and also don't mind boating in the cold north wind.

'Clear to Go' may be on my short list. My wife insists everything has to be paid off in case I die, she doesn't want to be left with that burden. Crazy women! But in a week or slightly more, if I play my cards right, I will be "Clear to Go"!

Nothing really stands out yet. The proper name ought to. Just can't decide!

Maybe it will be "Julie Anne"! There are a couple of name I am sure it WON'T be. :smt018

:smt043 :smt043 :smt043 That's great Gary :smt038 . SeaRay sport, I think both those names are used WAY TOO MUCH. Go with something more original.

:smt043 I promise that I am not the only one with a boat named First Born....you are welcome to the name. But telling my I suck  Richard is that grounds for temination :smt043

Well... if you don't like Julie Anne, then I'll throw out some more. I agree aquaholic is overused. I went to your profile and saw you are a claims adjuster and in the insurance business and like the outdoors. So here's some ideas:

Claim-to-Fame
Insurance
Uninsured or Sun-insured
Insurance Premium
Adjusted
Attitude Adjuster
Every-ones-high-inusrance-premiums-bought-me-this-boat (may not fit on the transom)
Fine Print
Noodle Head

A couple more...

Premium Time
Totally Adjusted
Not Covered
What Was I Think'n
Unfortunatly... No

I've always liked the name "Tar Baby" named for an event in Joel Chandler Harris's tales of Uncle Remus where a Tar Baby is created so the character who grabbed it couldn't let go because tar is sticky and he was, therefore, captured.

If boating captures you as it has us, your boat will be your "Tar Baby"

and, Skip, if you see this, you will realize that technical school grads can aslo read!

How about;

It's not a "GEICO"

Or - "Cavemanboattoo"

Then theres: "DucksAftQuack"

Better yet; "GoodHandsAPaddling"

Then: "GoodNeighborsStayHome"

Heres maybe the best one from Loyds of London.

"CashifyoudieCashifyoudon't."

Here's a link to insurance slogans. Might give you a few more ideas.
