boat name placement and engine hatch draining

Hi everyone...I've had my new 2009 (dealer leftover) 230 sundeck for about 3 weeks now. want to get some boat name graphics, but there really isn't any great place to put them -- there really isn't much of a transom. Where have some of you placed boat names? What size did you get? I was thinking of removing the "sundeck" decals and placing the name on the sides there. The hull is black with pearl trim, so just not much place to put the name that will look great on the hull itself.

Also, I get a pool of water in the channel around the engine hatch. Looks like there should be a drain here...Has anyone drilled a hole here to help the water drain into the bilge?
