just bought a boat in florida and trying to get it moved up the coast to new jersey, its a 2007 40 dancer, any recommendations on a hauler? thanks !!!

I think you will find costs about the same as going by water. I would quote out both options. When I quoted a 40 dancer years ago the two were within a thousand dollars of each other even paying for a captain and mate. If I had moved forward with the purchase I felt better about it going by water than by land.

Could be a fun adventure for ya. :)
Congrats on the purchase.

Thanks, I thought about bringing it up in water but I don’t have the time off from work, and I don’t want to fire a captain, I don’t want someone playing with my new toy before me lol

Doing that run this coming week - Miami to Brick - In a boat close in size - I'll report back on how it goes (hours, conditions, etc)....and I'm pretty sure someone else has played with the dancer before you....but I get what your saying - there are captains out there that will treat the boat like their own....one of them frequents this board from time to time and has an intimate knowledge of all things sea ray.....his name rhymes with dusty lol.....another option may be flying in and doing part of the trip with a captain, and letting him or her finish the trip solo.....but back to your question - When trucking, I have used Greg Chin of Aqua toys out of Merritt island FL - first class guy and operation - he moves a lot of boats for manufacturers

Wow awesome really appreciate the information and good luck on your trip, can’t wait to see the fuel numbers for that run

Did the same analysis when i bought my 40. Decided it was safer/easier/cheaper to do the trip by water. Took 4 days from Charleston and was very memorable. I hired a captain who had done that trip literally hundreds of times as the delivery captain for another yacht brand. I can recommend a few other captains up this way that can do the trip if you decide to go by water. Good luck - you have just purchased an excellent boat.

Which marina, got close relative in Cape May with a Viking and I'm sure headed out tomorrow. I may be able to obtain some fishing advice.
